Health is defined as the quality of life
that one achieves through physical, emotional, and social well-being. Health encompasses physical and mental health and is usually associated with a person’s capacity to carry out one’s duties in life, work, education, and relationships.
The quality of a person’s life depends on the quality of his or her health, and his or her individual’s capacity to perform daily tasks effectively and healthily. Most of us do not have good health, but we may not realize this, because it is usually our responsibility to monitor and manage our health as we grow old. But do you really know your health status?
According to studies, a recent report shows that over fifty million people in the general population are overweight or obese. This is the biggest problem faced by our society today. People who are obese often have to suffer from serious illnesses like heart disease, diabetes, and other serious health conditions that can lead to serious accidents. Even if a person loses some weight, he or she still has to take preventive measures to maintain good health.
Proper health is achieved when the body gets the necessary nourishment and nutrition to function properly. This also refers to the healthy functioning of the mind and emotions. When the body functions at its optimum levels, the mind, and the emotions function at their peak. Hence, the quality of life of a person greatly improves. A person becomes active and happy and his or her personal appearance improves. He or she has more energy to carry on with everyday activities.
Having good health means that a person is physically fit and physically balanced. It means that all the organs of the body are working in the best possible manner. And that a person has no limitations in what he or she can do. It also means that a person is free from any type of disease. It also means that he or she has a pleasant disposition and good relationships.
Life is very simple and easy, but this does not mean that we should ignore all the problems we encounter. Life can still be hard at times, and if you are suffering from any kind of health problem, you must seek help. and advice from your doctor and a health practitioner, as soon as possible. Life is always too short to spend it with no worries.
